- SEATTLE RECEPTION -
(April 12th, 2003)
The crowd in Seattle was definitely a different crowd from the one we had in Chicago. At the Chicago reception, almost everyone danced and people didn't even end up leaving until around midnight. In Seattle, on the other hand, getting people up on the dance floor at all was a challenge in and of itself. But I think people still had fun. Because the crowd in Seattle was more conservative, we decided to go along with our parent's wishes and have Soo in a traditional Korean dress called a "hambok". It was a bit awkward, to say the least.
After all the money Soo and I spent on our wedding/reception in Chicago, we didn't have much left over for a 2nd reception in Seattle. But for the money we spent, I think it turned out quite nicely. The highlight of the reception was a surprise skit that Kristina wrote and directed. It was performed by a group of my buddies from the Federal Way congregation and they did an EXCELLENT job performing their interpretation of how Soo and I met. I'll never forget it. And since I got the skit's soundtrack as a gift after the performance, I'll be able to enjoy it over and over again... and so will you... (see bottom of this page).
